2025 Reflections: A year of progress, partnership, and teamwork across the e-ppl Group
With the Christmas period fast approaching, it’s the time of year when we pause to look back on the last twelve months.
For the e-ppl Group, 2025 has been a year marked by progress, significant milestones, and the continued hard work of our teams, across the UK and further afield.
It has also been a year of change. We’ve said fond farewells to long-standing colleagues who retired after many years of loyal service. Their contribution to the business has been considerable, and we wish them well as they begin their next chapter.
Supporting major programmes and expanding capability
Across the Group, our teams have supported various complex and technically demanding projects.
In the North East, our auto-scan teams have played an integral role in supporting a major OEM with critical pre-production activities ahead of a new vehicle launch. This included detailed teardown work and weld verification across thousands of points on each car body – an activity that helps ensure production readiness and quality before the start of manufacture.
We have also retained and expanded our scope of work across several long-standing contracts, whilst welcoming new customers who have chosen e-ppl Group as a trusted partner for specialist support.
Later in the year, our North East operation confirmed plans to relocate into a bespoke new office space for the start of 2026, alongside significant investment in new IT systems to further strengthen capability and support future growth.
Strengthening the Group’s technical and training offer
In Coventry, our e-vo facility became an Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) approved training centre for EV technicians. This was an important step for the Group, reflecting both industry demand and our commitment to supporting technicians with hands-on, accredited training for the technologies shaping the future of mobility.
We also launched a new Group website, providing a clearer and more comprehensive overview of our capabilities, services and business units.
Growth through service expansion for India
Our Indian Operation has concluded an excellent year of growth, with the continued expansion of Engineering Services. This has involved the procurement of a dedicated CMM facility, increased CAD capacity, and the introduction of sourcing and supplier management services. Together, this enables our Indian teams to deliver an end-to-end sourcing, design, development, and supplier management package to support UK organisations looking to develop an Indian-based supply chain.
Maintaining quality and governance
A significant achievement this year was the recertification of all our ISO accreditations. Maintaining UKAS-accredited quality standards is something we take very seriously, and the work involved reflects the professionalism and diligence of our teams across all locations.
A continued commitment to the Armed Forces community
This year also marked an important milestone, as e-ppl was awarded the Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award, recognising our support for veterans, reservists, and military families.
Many colleagues have served, and we remain committed to creating an environment where they feel both supported and valued.
Supporting charities and our communities
We have been privileged to support several charities this year, including involvement in the Five Peaks Challenge, raising funds for Heart Heroes, and March of the Mods in Telford, fundraising for the Teenage Cancer Trust. As we look to the year ahead, we will continue to find ways to contribute both nationally and locally, including exploring opportunities to support community organisations in the North East.
Looking ahead
